Abi Peak (6097 m.) is situated in the Khumbu region located in the Mahalangur Himalayan range of Nepal. Abi peak climbing is a perfect training mountain for ice climbing and high altitude acclimatization. Being technically a difficult peak, Mount Abi requires a careful ascent to the summit. The summit ridge is narrow and can only be scaled to the top in good weather condition. We require approx 200 m of fixed ropes and other essential climbing gear. Abi peak was first issued a climbing permit in 2002 and although it is classed as moderate, it has been climbed less than 6 times.
Asian Hiking Team’guide led the Abi Peak trip hike up to Gokyo-Ri to enjoy breathtaking views of Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Makalu, Mt. Cho Oyu and other surrounding peaks. Our itinerary brings you the same way to Lukla and flight out. But if the climbers want, we can trek all the way to Everest Base Camp after or before the summit of Abi peak. The trekking itinerary is subject to change as your interest and time.
