Standing in the middle of the sanctuary, surrounded by towering snowy peaks, ranging from 5000 m to 8091 m 165000ft to 26000ft, is a truly awe-inspiring experience. Trekking in Annapurna Base Camp is not only Nepal's but one of the worlds' most popular moderate trekking. The dramatic mountain scenery is one of the reasons for doing Annapurna Base Camp treks.

The Annapurna Base Camp trekking is a well-known trekking route through Poon Hill, possibly the most spectacular mountain scraps on Earth. When the sun rises, it touches the snow-capped summits of the Himalayan giants, Dhaulagiri (8,167 m) and Annapurna (8,091 m) along with a maze of other peaks, there gradually appear, just like magic that your eye could not believe it.

On the Annapurna base camp route, there are cultural villages who provide all accommodation for trekkers. There are server trail side restaurants for rest and lunch. So that Annapurna base camp trekking is possible by hotel/Tea house basic trekking.

The route above Chhomrong is subjected to occasional avalanches, and it was recorded five trekkers perished in an avalanche in 2001, 2015, 2019 above the hut of Deurali. Altitude sickness and snowfall are factors to consider on the south base camp trek. During the April to early December the sanctuary is generally snow free so that there is no risk of avalanches for trekking.

There are server routes to reach Chhomrung.
