Poon Hill trekking is in Annapurna region, which is north-central part of Nepal. Ghorepani is famous for rhododendron forest as well as an hour climb to Poon Hill 3210 m, the fantastic panoramic sunrise and sunset view. Ghandruk is a popular cultural village in the Annapurna area of Nepal, with easy trails and various accommodation possibilities, best views to the mountains of Dhaulagiri to Manaslu ranges including Machapuchare.

Poon Hill trek offer the spectacular mountain scenery along with charming villages inhabited particularly by the phones, Gurungs & Magars, dense rhododendron forests full of birds and deep subtropical valleys, all set below the Annapurna’s with the picturesque peak of Machhapuchhare (Fishtail Peak) dominating the skyline. One of the important highlights of this trip is to make a claim on Poon Hill, possibly the most spectacular mountain scrapes on Earth. When the sun rises, it touches the snow-capped summits of the Himalayan giants, Dhaulagiri (8,167 m) and Annapurna (8,091 m) along with a maze of other peaks, there gradually appear, just like magic that your eye could not believe. Our destination is the beautiful and ornate village of Ghandruk, home to the Annapurna Conservation Area Project. Here you have a chance to visit the project to discover at first hand the conservation work being carried out. There are the Gurung Museums, Monastery, ACAP head office, and local culture.

Poon Hill trek starts from Nayapul means new bridge and ending trekking either in Dhampus village Phedi or Nayapul or Kande. After two days, trekking brings you to Poon Hill and explore the panoramic sunrise view and continue to Ghandruk and Australian Camp to Pokhara by short drive. You can start the clock side or anti clock side. Nowadays, there are seasonal roads to Ulleri or Ghandruk too. So that the itinerary, can make shorter or longer. Day by day itinerary

Day 01: Drive 6 hours or fly 25 minutes to Pokhara and drop to Sarangkot 1.30 hour, Overnight in Sarangkot (B/L/D).

Day 02: Trek to Ullari 5 hours trekking, Overnight Tea house (B/L/D).

Day 03: Trek to Ghorepani 4.30 hours, Overnight Guest house (B/L/D).

Day 04: Climb Poon Hill and trek to Tadapani 4.30 hours trekking, overnight tea house (B/L/D).

Day 05: Trek to Ghandruk and explore 3 hours trekking, overnight in Hotel (B/L/D).

Day 06: Trek to Australian Camp 6/7 hours trekking, overnight hotel (B/L/D).

Day 07: Trek to Kande, 2 hours and drive to Pokhara half an hour, overnight hotel (B/L/D).

Day 08: Drive or fly to Kathmandu 6 hours drive, transfer to Hotel (B/L/D).
