Sirubari Village Home Stay

Sirubari Village Home Stay

Sirubari village is a totally unspoiled Gurung settlement set in the height at 1700 meters above sea level. The village is in Syangja district, southwest of Pokhara, takes about 4 hours by private jeep and 6/7 hours by local bus.

The major attractions of Sirubari village are the daily lifestyle of Gurung community. Gurung is one of the ethnic people of Nepal. These typical Nepalese villagers will look after you, entertain you and give you a taste of true Nepali hospitality, which you are not likely to experience in the cities. The other worth seeing things are panoramic views of Nepal Himalayas. A short excursion to Thumro, which is an hour’s walkaway, is rewarded with its breathtaking view. From here you can see the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri range. Foot trails are all stone paved. We rarely find tourists who already visited this village are not impressed by the warm, welcoming and family like behaviour of the locals.

A stay in Sirubari village is without a doubt a rewarding and unforgettable experience for any foreigner. It is noticeable that in May 2001, Sirubari in conjunction with the Nepal tourism board was awarded the PATA Gold award in recognition of its efforts to preserve the culture and heritage of Nepalese life.
